Take a tipple with Shakespeare, who reputedly wet his whistle at 17th-century The Bell Inn, a vision of flagstone floors and oak at Welford-on-Avon. The Fox & Goose started life as two cottages and a blacksmith’s forge – pretty humble beginnings for the pub, restaurant and hotel that now stand.
